the Community
Since its founding in 1916, Iona Preparatory School has been providing its students with a demanding college preparatory education in the tradition of the Congregation of Christian Brothers Located in New Rochelle, New York, a suburban, residential community within commuting distance of New York City, Iona Prep is a private, Catholic school committed to the values of Church and country. The students represent the socio-economic diversity of Westchester County and parents choose to send their sons to Iona Prep over several of the nations's premier public schools that are located nearby.
The classroom buildings, the Jakeway Library, the Verni Fine Arts Center, The D'Urso Technology Center and the athletic fields are situated on an attractive 27 acre campus. Iona Prep serves a heterogeneous population of 780 young men from Westchester and Putnam counties, New York City and Connecticut. The Middle States Association of Colleges and secondary Schools and the Board of Regents of the State Of New York accredit Iona Prep.
