September 2010 – March 2011 Eighth grade applicants are invited to join the Prep Family for a day by shadowing a 9th grader and participating in his classes. To schedule a Day at the Prep, please call 914-632-0714, extension 213 for assistance. Prior to your visit, please submit the “Shadow Day” Information Sheet September – October 2010 Sign up for the TACHS [Test for Admissions to Catholic High Schools] at www.tachsinfo.com or call 1-866 - 618 - 2247. October 1, 2010 - February 1, 2011 Online Financial Aid application filing dates for incoming 9th grade families at www.tuitionaid.com - Iona's code is 32065. See “Tuition, Grants and Scholarships” page for more information. October 24, 2010 Open House – an opportunity for prospective students and families to tour Iona’s classrooms, meet our faculty, student ambassadors, and find out about us. Come anytime between Noon – 3pm. November 5, 2010 TACHS test date for 8th graders only; no makeup date. If you miss this date, or are applying for an upper grade, you must take the ISEE [Independent School Entrance Examination] www.iseetest.org which is given several times during the admissions cycle. November 11, 2010 (Veterans' Day) Academic Scholarship Test for academically qualified students who wish to compete for a merit scholarship. See “Tuition, Grants and Scholarship” link for more information. There is a test fee of $20.00 payable at the registration table on the day of the test. Please arrive not later than 9:15 am. Test will begin promptly at 9:30 and will end by 11 am. Students are to bring: copies of 7th grade report card and standardized test results pen and #2 pencil December 1, 2010 Deadline date for completed application to reach the admissions office. Application can be submitted online or downloaded for hardcopy submission. December 13, 2010 High schools receive TACHS test scores. Only completed applications are presented to the Admissions Committee. January 13, 2011 Release of admission and scholarship notices February 2011 - exact date TBA Visiting Day for Accepted Candidates February 2011 - exact date TBA A non-refundable reservation fee is due as a good-faith commitment to register for September’s Class of 2015.
