“After attending the open house for many of the high schools in the area, it was clear to me that Iona Prep was special. It stood out from the rest. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of commitment to the growth and well being of the students. After meeting Mr. Teasdale, the faculty and staff, it was evident that they were dedicated to the mission of the school and the success of the students. The real decision, however, came after Anthony spent the day at the Prep. He came home and said ‘I found my high school.’ It is two years later and our experience has been truly rewarding. Anthony plays football, works as a manager for the baseball team, runs track and recently was selected to be on the All-County team. He has traveled to Italy, Washington and Michigan. Next month, he will travel to California with the track team. He is also dedicated to his studies. I believe he is an example of what the Prep has to offer a student. As vice-president of the Fathers’ Council, I am proud to give back to a school that gives so much. We are looking forward to the next two years and will continue to keep the entire Iona Prep community in our prayers.”

“There are many options for secondary school education. We considered public, independent, an d Catholic, co-ed and single sex schools. IonaPrep offered it all: a diverse community with Christian values, academics, athletics and opportunities to serve. What clinched it for Patrick, however, was spending the visiting day interacting with faculty and students and coming home feeling as if he belonged. His instincts were not wrong. He has yet to leave after the academic day is done; the many activities available explain why the doors are always open and the parking lot is always busy. Iona Prep has become our family. With an extremely approachable administration and faculty, active Fathers’ Council and Mothers’ Auxiliary, we, as parents, feel part of the community as well. As a sophomore, we are witnessing his transition into an “Iona Man” and look forward to his continued growth and commitment in the years ahead.”
