To Our Valued Alumni,
On behalf of our Alumni Association President, Scott Cade ’90, we wish to extend a warm welcome to Iona Prep’s Alumni Association. Our mission is to help develop and foster a sense of community and belonging among graduates of all ages. We celebrate our rich history by creating venues that bring old friends together and provide opportunities for new friendships to develop.
We have many wonderful and fun events planned for the fall of the 2008.
- The Spring/Summer Iona News Magazine has been published and distributed
- Iona Prep’s Annual Golf Outing is scheduled for September 23 at Wykagyl Country Club
- The Alumni Reunion for Class of 1963, '68, '73, '78, '83, '88, '93, '98, 2003 is scheduled for October 4th
- Family Day barbecue at the Verni Center is on October 5
- The Class of ’58 celebrates their 50th Reunion on October 25th
- The Golden Gaels (all grads who have celebrated their 50th Anniversary) is invited to celebrate Mass followed by brunch in the cafeteria on Sunday, October 26
- A special Alumni Veteran's event is scheduled for November 4th
- Thanksgiving Eve- Alumni Sports Night/Alumni Basketball Game
We cherish our nine decades of graduating classes and hold steadfastly to the mission of Blessed Edmund Rice and the Christian Bothers. The Alumni Association is keenly aware that the future of Iona Prep lies in its storied past. Together, you and future alumni will carry on the traditions learned at Iona Prep. All alumni are encouraged to get involved in scheduled events. If you are interested, contact us (phone or e-mail). Iona welcomes you to be part of the activity planning process. Alumni can become Class Agents, or simply attend alumni functions. Our office assures you that we will listen to your suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you.
